Family Update...

Wow...2012 hit and we're all going in a hundred directions!!! No time to write...or talk...or visit much.  Here's what I know.

Got this from Paula a couple of days ago:
We are doing well here.  I'm just leaving to meet Mom and Dad at the heart Doctor in Pocatello.  Gordon is heading to Utah for Elva's brother's funeral.  Stuart? I thought he would be here by now for work.  He's signed up for a class at ISU.  Still seeing Kim.  Boston is at school.  Jessica is adjusting to her new eyes and Clayton went back to work after a month's vacation. Anna continues to amaze her husband with her Home Depot skills by inventing a high chair that is attached to the table and slides out (she wants to build a garage!). Hayden and Madeleine are doing well. Kendrick is in his last semester at Moscow and Megan has 3 more months before their baby is due.  I think I sent the latest on Lasen.  I'm still writing for SIL working on a Trick Ski and Boarding Competition story at Pomerelle.  How are things going with you? I miss everyone.  Anyone have a reason to get together?  I told Melissa to sponsor a work day on their basement and I would bring the food.  She laughed and then I think she got serious when she thought of all of us coming to their house!  Love ya Paula

Got this photo from Steven tonight...apparently they were at a BYU game.

Talked to Dan briefly.  He had people with tape measures and neon getting ready to put up a big Great Basin Industrial sign on their new building.  Erin was tending Frank's kids so visited with her for a minute--she's awesome!  Still waiting on update from Zan on who's ahead in the bachelor game.

Kent has dug a giant hole next to their house and there is a new basement floor pad in the bottom of it.  He's building the foundation using styrofoam blocks filled with concrete--a newer construction method that is supposed to be very strong and have high insulation values. Kids are all doing well and during dinner we went through Joe, Kai and Maniah's report cards which look very good! Many E's...for Excellent!

Haven't heard much from the Littlefields but know that Shane is traveling a lot this year to train mission presidents.  Missionary letters are good and trust everyone else is.

Swung by Ben's on the way home last night.  Janet is still in a foot cast and has another two and a half to three weeks in it.  She's managing well on crutches.

Hunters??? Hear Kayla and Hayley are having a good time at BYU I.

Don Cleggs? We need to check Facebook....

Frank? When I stopped by, on Thursday night to drop off a monitor, Frank and Melissa were gone but got to spend a few minutes with Gavin and Andrew and we were all laughing so hard at Andrew...funny boy! Sweet kids.

I'm working a lot.  Just figured need to cowboy up for the next six months although none of it is much fun.  Will reassess then.  Good news is that we're probably going to have the biggest quarter ever on sales so that's good.  Now just need to deliver.  BYU ward is good and finally got this semester's directory out which is the major hard work of each semester--getting to know who's who, where they live and getting their picture.   Sold another share of the airplane so now there are 5 owners to split the cost--that's the good news.  Bad news is we collectively decided that all the money ($10k) goes back into new radio equipment so the plane can be IFR certified. But hey, it's still cheaper than not having partners! It's been getting some time in and has been to Arizona a couple of times and to California.  New owners are very pleased and like it.

It was great to go to Idaho over the weekend and visit with Dad and Mom.  They are doing good and Dad and I went for a drive in his new pickup.  It's pretty nice and we think it would be good for pulling a camper trailer. I got the ceilings in the back room and kitchen painted and then two of the four walls in the back room--little progress at a time.  Went to dinner with Mark & Karen and we're making preliminary plans to go to Africa in January of next year...I need something to look forward to!!! Here's a picture of a deer that walked through the yard while I was in the house.

Still need to get some photos and text from the last Costa Rica trip up...between me, the Hulmes and the Baileys...there are a LOT of pictures to curate to get the few best of the many.  Hopefully in the next week or so.

ANNOUNCEMENT: Thai food night on February 11th at my house.  Just having all those in Utah County and anyone else that wants to show up around 6:30 to come by for some food.  Don't need to bring anything...just let me know if you're coming!
