Hunter Home Front

Today Josh Littlefield gave his farewell talk in church. He did a wonderful job and bore his testimony in the language his is going to learn in the MTC. I thought that odd that he could bear his testimony before he left, but it was fun to listen too. He said that being a struggling little family his parents weren't able to put them in lessons and sports but it was quite evident that his parents had put him in language courses and travel. I guess each does what he can with what he has been given and then the whole world will blossom.

On the way home from church I realized in the next six weeks Michael and I would have four nephews out at the same time. Elder Spencer Clegg in Long Beach, California: Elder Sam Hayden in Quebec Montreal Canada: Elder Josh Littlefield in Barcelona, Spain and Elder Joe Littlefield in Tallahassee, Florida. I feel it is time to really start writing the missionaries!!! I remember doing it every Sunday growing up with so many siblings out, but I have not done so well since then. Even the former nieces and nephews who have already served, I haven't written much but always enjoyed getting the updates from their parents. We joy hearing the news of the missionaries!!!!! So here goes our first edition. I'm hoping to keep this brief but regular and just let you know of our latest up dates and happenings. Don't worry about contacting us directly because we often touch bases with your parents.

This week was the notorious end of term with hurried notes to teachers clarifying assignments, absentees notes to the attendance office and doctors notes for missed days. We finally got it all ironed out. Paisley and Alyssa are climbing the learning curve for keeping their homework organized and assignments completed an in. Paisley is taking a digital photography class and it seems a little overwhelming to her but she is getting the knack of it. Alyssa is taking Art 1 and German for electives and surprisingly the Art 1 she needs no help with, but German has allot of busy work. She loves speaking German and talks to cashiers, waiters and whomever teaching them a bit of what she knows.

Kayla was kept extra busy this week working two days at Training Table, performed at a fall symphonic band concert, and packed for a Fall Marching Band trip to Los Angles. They left Thursday at noon and will be back on Tuesday. They competed in two competitions Saturday and then march tomorrow at Disneyland. It's her last year and she said that their last performance was bitter/sweet.

Cami is busy working at home for her dad being his executive secretary, which he loves. He is grateful to have someone to hand off all those menial details too. She is also attending her sophomore year at BYU and enjoys it. She is taking a 300 level Jazz dance class first thing MWF and says it's keeps her in shape. She is playing the organ in her ward and enjoys music in her life.

Andrew is a socialite and often has 1-2 friends over a day. I worried about him being lonely so far behind the other girls but, if we stay in this neighborhood it won't be a problem. He is likeable and seems always to have someone wanting to play with him. It was Halloween and he dressed up as a Fire Fighter. He loves watching a the kids show Rescue Heroes and I'm sure someday may be one.

Michael and I are happy to be the proud owners of new windows throughout the house. The installer came Saturday and put 1/3 if them in. Already I can tell the difference in the noise level, insulation and glare factor. It will be great to get them in before winter.

We hope all is well with you and love your efforts and all your doing. We had the missionaries over a couple of weeks ago. They were the Asian missionaries, neither spoke any language but English. They were teaching people from five different languages through translators and covered nine stakes. It was fun to visit with them.
