Peter's Week

Don't remember too much detail about the week other than there were at
least two good days at work which is an improvement. The new guy that
we hired (his name is Guy!) is very good and a welcome addition to the
company. As he puts it, "the first objective is Law and Order!"
Amen. Under his guidance, we have a plan for product deployment which
is something we've needed for the two years I've been there. Still
lots of other challenges but I'm being positive!

Weekend was good in that I found a possible hangar for the airplane in
Spanish Fork. Now just need to get it flying (legally)... it flies ok
but we need a transponder. I bought one from Tito, an Ecuadorian who
barely speaks English and runs a little tech business for used
airplane parts, but it didn't pass all the modes so need to keep
looking. Looking forward to getting it in the air. Spent some time
with the guy that's going to be instructing me and he's cool.

I spent a good portion of Saturday putting the Ikea kitchen together
(see photos) for the Gibbs. It helps out as they are now able to get
a renter and will be bringing in an extra $700 per month. It went
well enough that I'm thinking about putting a second studio in the
basement and doing an outside entrance and getting another renter like
Rachel. We'll see how ambitious I am about that. Then did a bike
ride out to the airport along the new road on the west side of the
strip to the new control tower. Very nice day but a little
chilly...biking season for the wimpy cold like me is coming to an end!
Finished up the night with a good visit with Michael and Virginia.
Sunday... a nice nap!

Love you all!
Peter
