Peter's Week

Work: Ken Brueck's last day on Friday--very sad as he's been a good
friend. Good news is we successfully completed a security audit which
will allow us to stream HBO content and have them feel good that we
are safe. It's been a lot of work and the boss called to
"congratulate" me and the other two that have been working on it so
hard. This week, I'm quarantined to get the new business requirements
fleshed out. I was excited to be locked away, focusing on one thing
all week but just checked and already there's a mandatory meeting I
need to be in at 8:30 Monday morning!

Weekend: AWESOME trip with the young men to Goblin Valley. Could not
have asked for nicer weather! Took all the young men and the priests
did a fine job of getting the food and feeding us. Slept under the
stars and watched the half full moon come up over the distant
horizon...beautiful! Went on a several hour hike looking for a cave
and then played capture the flag in the valley of Goblins when we got
back - my hamstrings are pretty sore from running! See the pics here:

Mooney Chronicles: Still working to get the radio going. The Com
panel is in but now one of the radios is not working--that may be why
the VOR is not working either. Tito took it apart and said that the
capacitors are all dried out and cracked. Weather and age...not good
for planes! But, it's been nice to run out to the airport a couple of
times this week. See the pics above.

Family: Great to have Kent here for a night (actually, he was here Fri
and Sat but I was gone Fri so he got to see what it's like to live
here like I do). He went down and back to Blanding and had a load of
furniture from Mignon's parent's house. Good to see him and catch up
a little. After a 2.5 hour Sunday nap (heaven!) helped celebrate
Kayla's 17th birthday with dinner and dessert and then over to
Littlefields for some more visiting. They had a wild day as it was
Stake Conference and while President Littlefield was giving his
closing talk, the patriarch (who had just spoken) had a stroke while
sitting on the stand. They had to end the meeting a little early and
he was taken away to the hospital. I think he was 91 and this had
happened before as his wife (who was there), wasn't too rattled.

Anyway, have a good week all! Also caught this pic on the freeway
advertising Dad's trike. Speaking of the trike, Tuesday night, I left
at nine p.m. with it and rode up the canyon to Bridal Veil Falls. It
was almost a full moon and really was a fun ride!

So, Larsen and team are headed to the State Finals....maybe we'll see
you there. Hunters are talking about getting a hotel in the
area...anyone else game?
