Mid July Update

A couple of weeks to catch up on...and a bunch of pics!
- Tyler was playing baseball in the AllStars tourney which happened to be in Orem so I stopped by for a couple of innings and watched him knock a nice base hit. Also got to see the new Shannonmobile - a silver Volvo crossover. I understand the Burby is for sale.
- Over the July 4th weekend, Grandpa, Grandma and I did some road trippin. One day out to Dry Valley mine where Dad and Lew Lamb used to fly the T-craft to work putting in a loading machine. Had to be 45 years ago and although closed to access for all but sparrows, the machinery was still there. We had a nice drive up to Mill Canyon campsite (see shots Dad telling stories and Mom holding her favorite flower, a wild rose) and on to Rasmussen Valley where we used to run cattle. Then back home through Trail Canyon. Lovely day so the next day we went again...on to Star Valley to visit Mom's cousin.
- Idaho was beautiful! Caught a shot of Americana (gardens, pony, plane and Dad's American Flag) and a beautiful sunset!
- My project was to build me a new clothes line. I planted a pole I found in the rock pile with some post mix cement.
- Saturday, I dropped the sailboat off at Don's where we discovered one of the wheel bearings was gone and needed changing. Abby showed me her e 4-H gardens and Macie modeled Sparkle for me. Looks like the boat worked well during the week on Bear Lake!
- This week, five days of work for me made the weekend very welcome! Friday night, we took a couple of our team from the Ukraine that have been here for the last several weeks to a Utah Blaze game (indoor arena football). It was my first game and quite entertaining--Utah won 83 to 63.
- Saturday, I got in a nice little three hour hike up towards the back side of Cascade Mountain (I'm going to figure out how to climb that before the summer's over!!!). The last shot is a little clearing that I got to just before it started to rain - really, beautiful and didn't even mind getting wet!
In other news from the family - Some shots from the Webbs at boy George's blessing. I think Gordon, Paula, Boston and Jessica were on trek this week. Brandon & Ashley are back from Bogota, in Lewiston for a bit, then to Europe for a couple of weeks before heading back to work full time in Dallas. Jordan is working on the ranch and the girls are due home this week! Had dinner with Shane, Amy and Erica last night and new job at church HQ is going well--their yard looks gorgeous by they way! Lissy & Hayley were at the farm for the weekend. Hunters were in full family fun mode with Grandma's Camp. The Don Clegg's were on the lake all week at Bear Lake. Wyatt's doing great in the MTC. That's all I know! Love you all!
