Everyone;
This past few weeks have been very busy. I went to LA with Spencer and his buddies...a chore to say the least. First, I had to go to a Dodger game and have a Dodger Dog. Then we met up at Magic Mountain and my stomach got turned in 34 direction---all at once. I've felt the sensation of my stomach molecules trying to reverse implode...but not as intense as on the ride Tatsu or Goliath. Who am I kidding, it was a blast to hang with Spencer and his friends. We only got lost once on the way to the Dodger game and did a very un-manly thing. We stopped to asked directions. I swore Spencer and his friends to secrecy, but seems how no one reads these blogs and I’ve buried this comment in the first paragraph, it’s OK.
Meanwhile, as Spencer and I were enjoying a balmy 75 degrees in SoCal, Shannon and Jamie (Dan and Jill, Hayley) were trodding through subzero blinding snow storms. Well, it wasn't quite that bad but they had some pretty severe weather but no one was seriously ill or injured. One of the pictures above is Jamie/Shannon 10 minutes after they arrived.
Friday night, we took Allyse, Jordan, and Tyler to the Tanner cabin. Howard and Deanne were there along with Nik and her kids. We had a very relaxing time hiking up past Smith Morehouse lake. (see pictures). Nights were down in the 30s but daytime temperature was up in the 70s. Shannon and I celebrated our 19 anniversary eating a yummy roast that Deanne cooked for us. We had green beans, potatoes, corn on the cobb and sat out on the deck with the kids. It was wonderful.
Today was fathers day and they handed out dark chocolate bars to all the fathers in church. Now that's what I call thoughtful. I snagged another one during priesthood meeting for raising my hand and giving the correct answer. Felt like I was in primary again. Then we had a yummy dinner and I got a movie camera and ACE hardware gift certificate!! What a great father's day. Then I talked for about an hour to Brandon. He's a stud. When I grow up and get big I definitely want to be just like all my boys....mature, intelligent, you know that kind of stuff. Well, that's all for now.
