Dear Family:
We haven't fallen off the end of the earth but sometimes it feels like it! It has been such a wonderful Sabbath. Spencer Dimond reported his mission in the Dominican Republic. It was such a positive experience for him. The achievement day girls sang the special number and it was so sweet. Another really exciting thing was that the sun shined and it was warm all day!
Kind of got side tracked!! Talking to some of you which I would rather do than write but am going to try again. It is Tues. evening after another beautiful day and Grandpa is watching tv with Sir David Attenborough and some women about elephants.
Yesterday I took the three girls to Lava for swim lessons and then today Grandpa went with me and he enjoyed a trip to the airport and a scenic drive while I watched the swimmers, "Monkey, Airplane, and Soldier". It was nice because it was all in the inside pool today and not so many people to try and keep track of. Wish I had a very private pool and I might try Monkey ect.!
Joe and Kai were playing in here this morning and I heard Joe say "you be Joe and I'll be Grandpa and proceeded to call Kai 'Joe". It's hard to believe they are old enough to pretend already. The girls have set up housekeeping in the lilac wind-break with their own rooms ect. and lots of Barbies.
We have had two more deaths this week. Our former mail man, Gary Keller had a stroke and Virginia Collin's brother, Randy Lester a heart attack. We didn't know about Gary so missed his funeral but will try to attend Randy's.
I am trying to get the garden planted but not getting much done. A row of onions some tomatoes and a few peas just peeking through. Oh, well we just feel very blessed for what we do have and count our beautiful children, their spouses and grandchildren as our most beautiful and precious plants. The others are only temporary!
Thank you all for writing realizing you are all very busy but do appreciate hearing and seeing those who do.
Sorry we don't have more exciting things to write but it has been very exciting to have some warm weather at last!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Much much love and hugs to all Grandpa and Grandma
