Busy last couple of weeks... need to be brief but a detailed journal for some future use is logged in another blog.
England...so was assigned a new project at work that involves working with a partner company in London and was over there last week. Spent a few hours walking the mother city...Buckingham Palace, Trafalgar, Parliament, Westminster Abby, the River Thames, London's Eye (large Ferris wheel) and some time at the National Gallery. Big city and despite being the capital of the English, about two thirds of every conversation I heard was not English. People from all over the world live there.

Then work, work, work and a drive to Wales where the other Move office is. Got there just in time to tour Caerphilly Castle for lunch (see pics) with a few of the guys. Worked with the Move team for a couple of days then drive back to London. Saturday...a day on my own to knock around. Walked Hyde Park, saw Kensington Palace, then to Portabello Road in the Knotting Hill area (large open market for several streets). Then to Leicester Square (theater district) where I found some Vietnamese bowel of pho and a nice seat to the live stage performance of Les Miserables. Excellent! Incredible talent, music, sets, etc.
Sunday morning up and to Sacrament meeting at the Hyde Park ward. Large ward and again, people from all over the world--Africa, Philippines, China, Romania, Poland--Caucasians were in the minority! Home Monday morning at 2 a.m. and then back to work.
Sad news is that we had layoffs while I was there. Actually thought it might be a good place to be laid off and I would have just headed on to Germany and then around the world the other way...for the next five months! Anyway, back to work now and the team is trying to reorganize and get the job done with a few less people.
So, I've had broken tooth for several years and decided to get it fixed while I still have a little insurance. Pretty interesting as I needed a crown and it was all done right there in the office. They take a 3D picture of my tooth, then put this little porcelain plug in a milling machine and it ground out a new inlay at 40 microns accuracy. All done in a little over an hour...pretty cool!
Looking forward to the fifty fun b-day party!
