Hi Everyone;
It was Jordan's 13th birthday on the February 27th and we'd signed up for the Tuacahn Duathlon months ago. Shannon placed 2nd in her age division, Jordan took first place, and I was happy just to finish my first ever race. After recuperating for a few hours we went to Golden Corral and did some "carb loading" as they say in the racing vernacular. Oh wait, you're supposed to do that before the race. Whatever. We ate ourselves into a stupor anyway.

I did NOT say "do you need an ambulance or CPR"! I did say weeks in advance--"what bike are you going to ride?" I warned him and even offered my bike and I would borrow Nikki's but no--true to Clegg boy form he had to do it with duct tape and bailing twine!
Shannon is correct. She did warn me weeks in advance about getting a better bike, but I thought for 12 short miles Allye's bike would be ok. My mistake. But the "need an ambulance" comment sounded funnier.
I can spot that Harrison Ford-esque running style from anywhere....nice to see that hasn't left you over the last 20 years.
