Movin' Up

Hi all!

Just a note to let you know that Grandpa and Grandma made the big move to the newly refurbished house this weekend.  Attached are a few pics.  It all just kind of worked out and went well.  Don happened to show up with his big trailer and with the help of Greshen and Emily and Kiana, we got all the essentials for living transferred to the new digs. Thanks! It was kind of nostalgic with the little boys, Maci, Abby and Maniah running around and the older girls there--just like when we used to live there with nine kids. Mom said she remembered the night after there honeymoon making the bed in the east room.  It's kind of like moving home!

Anyway, there's still a punch list of things that need to be done so if you get the urge to run up for a day or so, pick off a thing or two. 

No particular order
- bucket the coal out of the basement and clean
- get plastic shelves for the basement
- clean food storage (front room of big house) and move to basement
- paint inside of old back room cupboards
- put latch on basement door
- anchor back porch tall shelf
- wire in the phone permanently (I have a base and 2 portables that I'll bring up)
- paint cupboards in the garage
- paint inside of garage walls
- get garage door (insulated) and garage door opener and install
- power wash garage floor
- shave garage door so it opens easy
- transfer deep freeze contents (garage to house and house to garage)
- get heat tape for roof and rain gutters
- wire up microwave in attic
- get Internet hooked up
- move piano down
- get flat screen TVs

Spring/Summer
- move gas tank
- trim up bushes
- put landscape border around house
- put in front driveway and sidewalk
- lawn & sprinklers
- flowers
- trim trees
- build Dad's shop

Other
- front seats for Honda Accord (1995) tan/beige/brown - Pick-A-Part half price Wednesdays
- glove compartment door
- driver door handle case
