"Morning Moos"

This is Paula writing.  I'm sitting at the computer overlooking the farm.  The sun just went down in blaze of orange colors with one column shooting up heavenward.  The house is quiet except for the furnace running at near zero temperatures. The boys are taking their Sunday nap after a lumptious dinner of Lima Beans and green salad with several types of cheeses.

So, Christmas came and went at the Webb Household and not one Clegg was in it.  But video chat enabled them to witness for a few brief moments the singing at Who's Ville on Sunday hosted by Ben's family.  Also today being Sunday, a live video chat with Frank and Melissa brought the Cleggs "in house" as Drew rocked his horse while we visited.

Grandma and Grandpa Clegg (aka Dad and Mom) graced our home for a pre-Christmas dinner a week before and we considered it a great privilege to have them visit.   Kendrick and Megan, Jessica and Clayton as well as Stuart and Kim, Hayden and Larsen and Boston spent the holidays visiting, opening presents, eating homemade candie and going to local Christmas parties.

We met in SLC for a brief dinner and pictures before Anna, Steve and Francie flew out to Chicago to spend Christmas with Steve's parents.

Jessica and Clayton returned home via New York and spent New Year's Eve at Time Square. They took a train  back to their car afterwards and drove on home to Virginia. They have their next assignment in Texas starting in July.  From there Clayton will be deployed to Iraq for five months before returning to Texas to spend the next 3 years working.

Gordon and Paula took Kendrick, Megan and little Jennie Lou back up to Moscow where they spent 3 days in the snow covered moutains of their home.  We concluded they are "Living the Dream"  (LTD).  The snow is piled deep and their main responsibility is to keep the fire going at Ron and Francie Dupont's while they spend winter at Tahoe.  Gordon thinks it would be well worth anyone's time to drive up and spend a few days with them. Especially if you have small children.

Larsen had his wisdom teeth out just before New Years Eve. Hayden and Boston took him to the oral surgeon while we were up North with Kendrck.  Dr. Miller called Hayden and Boston, Larsen's body guards.  Boston had a scare when Hayden went into the pharmacist to get a pain prescription.  Larsen passed out in the front seat and started choking on the blood going down his throat eventually causing him to throw up.  Boston ran in to get Hayden and took over answering questions about Larsen, his birthday and address while Hayden hurried out to assist Larsen.  From all the excitement of Larsen passing out Boston started feeling light headed and had to lean up against the counter.  Fortunately we all safely arrived home about 2 hours apart from each other.

And so the chickens are bedded down for the night.  The new babies are now fending for themselves with their 7 golden aunts.  We get 2-5 eggs a day.  I enjoy putting on my boots and trudging out to feed and water them daily.

Tomorrow we have all new blinds installed.  So those  who come to stay can have a some privacy once again.

And the newest aquistion is a mobile kitchen purchased just before Christmas.  Larsen and Hayden aim to start a business in Rexburg.  The second coat of paint went on last night and they will reroof it tomorrow.  It needs some work on it but the boys hope to open it this semester and serve hot dogs, soup and fresh bread to students.

OK this has gone on long enough.  We love each of you and wish you a wonderful New Year.  I'm thankful my friendship with you.  Love Paula
