Quick update. First week after new year is supposed to be the most depressing of the year. So to help things out, Dan, Jill and I ran south for a few hours of sun in St. George. Quick trip but here are a few shots. 56 degrees and sunny. We looked at a few houses and then drove to the new airport and the old one. The old one has been officially shut down but there are far more planes and hangars there than at the new one. No planes can land at the old one any more. Once one takes off, it can't return and has to land at the new one which is further from town and much bigger. But, there is only one hangar and the passenger terminal.
For work, spent most of it preparing for our board meeting this week which was interesting. The board members came in and we had dinner with them on Wednesday evening. They are pretty interesting people and for the most part have been very successful in business. I presented for over an hour and I thought it went well but lots of work to do--"makes me tired" as Frank says!
Full day today at church leaving at 8 and getting home at 6. We have two new Relief Society presidents that are both very good and looking forward to working with the new format for Ward Council. Lots to do but good group. We had Elder and Sister Melvin Hammond who have been working as mission presidents, area authorities and in the Seventy for years speak in sacrament meeting (they are grandparents of 3 in our ward). Great meeting and great life together.
Love you all and hope you all have a good week!
