Hunting for Funn

Spring break  was supposed to be a hike through Robbers Roost in Southern Utah, but when the trip was cancelled due to snow we went to plan B.  We had talked of going to Disneyland because this will be Cami's last break before going into the working world this summer and off to College. Cami has never been to Disneyland and she really wanted to go.
Tuesday we left after school and drove to Holden (outside of Las Vegas) and spent the night.  We learned a vital lesson and that is put Andrew to bed before falls asleep in the car otherwise he is up for 21/2 hours during the night.  We hoped to drive around Lake Mead but due to road work and wanting to get to the beach we drove on through to Newport Beach.  We stopped at the M&M store in Vegas and the drove to Barstow for In and Out.   Newport was beautiful but very windy and cold. We watched wind surfers and played on the beach and then headed to our Comfort Inn Hotel by Disneyland,
The next morning were at the park at 8:30 for a full day of Disney Land. (It's so expensive we had to get our moneys' worth)  I brought Andrew to the hotel to nap and then returned for 4 more hours of fun.  Andrew was a big fan of the train that circled the park. I took him home after dinner for bed and Michael doggedly took the older kids and stayed until midnight.  They didn't return until 1:00 am.
I guess there is more than one way to teach your kids endurance. The next day we got up late swam and headed to Huntington Beach for  a couple of hours of more beach time. We've been to the beach allot as a family and it was just nice to be back. Traffic was thick getting out of L.A. but we made it to Las Vegas (Henderson) Comfort Inn for the night.  Saturday we drove on in to Provo and found all well here.
