Clegg Valentines Newsletter

What a great year we have had at the Clegg household!  As you can see our big news is that Steven and I became GRANDPARENTS!  This also means that there are a few aunts and uncles not to mention several sets of great grandparents!   Talmage Jackson Peay arrived on December 29th, 2008.   Grandma Clegg (still not quite used to that name) has already got to go to Texas to "munch" on the little one and help out Ashley and Brandon with their new arrival.  So much fun!    Brandon and  Ashley are duly exhausted as they enter into parenthood full force!  We wish they lived closer so we could help a little more!

We've had some great family memories this year:   Trip to St. George over Spring Break, Mom and Dad went to Hawaii (sans kids :)!    We all hiked the Narrows despite major flash flood warnings (as you can see the river was THICK with mud).   And of course we managed a week long trip to the Westgate condo at the Canyons in Park City.   Of course there was the annual cattle brand at the ranch and a winter trip to sled and snowmobile.   One of our favorite trips this year would have to be our trip with Ashley's family to Cour de' Laine, Idaho where we rented a beautiful cabin on Hayden Lake for a week.   John and Michelle brought their wave runners and we just played in the water all week.   What a great family!

Tyler was baptized last March by his brother Spencer.   Spencer graduated from High School went to BYU in the Fall and then came home and Christmas to let us know that he was transferring to BYU Hawaii.  He is now basking in the sun and "doing homework" at Hukelau Beach (yeah right??)    Jordan and Tyler have lived, eat and breathed sports.  That means that we have too.   Jamie is going in 50 different directions everyday (literally).   She is in 2 plays, takes piano, participates on student council, city youth council and multiple clubs and service organizations.   She manages to fit in work several hours a week and plays Lacrosse on the HIgh School team and also community coed soccer.  (Whew!  are you as tired as I am just thinking about it?)    Allyse has been busy obtaining a 4.0 GPA for 2 terms in a row.  She also plays the flute and is the Jr. High play.   Allyse is also becoming quite a good cook and seamstress.     Steven and I just keep on plugging away at being in the workforce and keeping the homefront running as smooth as possible.

We love you all and hope you have a great Valentines Day!

Love --  The Cleggs
