Peter's Week

Good week in several ways.  First off, with all the warm weather and rain, the snow melted to the point where I could gather up all the cords on the ground from Christmas lights and put them away.  Just in time as this morning, there was snow on the ground again! Pretty wet stuff and have shoveled twice today.

Work... some progress but some problems as well.  I really like my new boss but he's under quite a bit of pressure and I'm not sure I can help him much.  He said this week that when he's in town (which is every other week) that things are under control but when he's gone, nothing gets done.  When I asked how I could help him, he said, "Be the deputy while I'm not here!"  That's a tough position because you're like the task master with no carrots. We'll see how it goes.

Entertainment? Well, Steven and I had great evening on Wednesday as he had an extra ticket to the BYU game with UNLV.  They lost but it was a good game with Don Mile's son Chris playing and a kid that was on the team with Landon Clegg that took the Utah high school state championships a couple of years ago.  We had a nice dinner beforehand at Cafe Rio and then got there early so had a nice visit.  Friday night, Jessica had tickets to a play at the Hale Theatre..."Room Service".  Fun play but lots of yelling and banging doors.  Saturday I went for a nice hike and then worked on a project and thought about what I might do if I have to find a new job in the near future! Jessica had breakfast with missionaries that just got home the night before then spent the rest of the day making a new blouse with here new sewing machine.  We made a late run to Walmart to get some fabric and found the best avacados for only $.73 a piece!!!

Tonight we had a nice evening as the Littlefields and Hunters came over for roast, potatoes, home-made rolls and cake (thanks Shane!).  Good to see everyone and catch up.  Then we had a ward fireside with the artist Greg Olsen, the artist, who spoke and showed many of his paintings of the Savior and told about what he thought when he painted them and how they were modeled.  It was very interesting and he has some beautiful work.

Hope you all have a good week!
