We have been busy this last month with 4th of July, girls camp, yard sale, and fair week.
We are know getting ready to spend the first part of this week on the East beach of Bear Lake. We are looking forward to some much needed time away to relax. We cleaned out the old camper, which hasn't been used since 2003, by having a yard slae. We made nearly $400. A lot of work but was a good experience for the kids to barter with customers over there goods.
We got a taste of the lake on Firday as we spent the day with some of the guys Don works with and their families. Some of us forgot the sunscreen and are now paying the price. All in all it was a fun time. We missed not weeing the Webbs this weekend and hope someday they will actually come and use the cabin.
Greshen worked Monday and Tuesday getting the 4-H projects ready for judging and display for the fair. Then Wednesday we spent the day and night at the fair taking it all in. It was fun. Emily, Grant , and Abby had a great time on the rides taking breaks after getting sick on some of the rides to get mord drinks and food before going back for more, then spending their yard sale money on items at the fair. Don, Greshen and Macie listened to some Blues Brother impersonators, ate good food, and Don talked to more people than I have ever seen him do in a long time. It was great especially when he ran into Jon Tingey.
Don received a Manufacture Distinguished Award at Monsanto this week. St. Louis said that it is the first one they have ever given out at the Soda Plant. It was for all his hard work on research and finding out some transitions at work. We are very proud of him.
