Hey everyone;
Been on the road the past couple of week. Two weeks ago we had our Sun
America Sales Meeting on the Potomac river at the Gaylord center. I've
included some pictures of the interior. We had a party one night in the
Smithsonian aerospace museum. There was food everywhere and they even
had a little conveyor belt that was about 20 feet in length. It went
behind these curtains where 4-5 chefs were preparing fresh sushi as fast
they could. It was pretty tasty. They had flight simulators and all
the attractions for free.

Last week I spent a few days in Boise catching up with my clients. The
trip is short and always enjoyable. I spent Wednesday evening at my
friend's football practice. He's an assistant coach for his 10 year old
boy's team. They boys were running through some pretty tough drills but
the interesting thing was they had to start and finish each drill with 5
push ups. By the time the practice was over 2 hours later I counted
roughly 200 push ups!

Yesterday we started football!! Jordan and Tyler both had games and we
were being supportive parents by attending pre-game warm ups and post
game speeches. Jordan sustained a class IV sprain on his thumb ( I just
made up that rating...see the picture). He put a hard hit on someone
just before half time and I noticed he was nursing his thumb. He then
ran a kick return back for 15 yards and took a couple of snaps from the
quarterback before halftime. Jordan plays corner on defense, kicker,
punter, tailback, and backup quarterback. Anyway, he's been icing down
his thumb and we're not sure how well he'll do this next week.

Tyler had his first game, too. He plays defensive end and full back and
was one of the team captain this week. Tyler scored a touchdown
yesterday on a broken play. He was supposed to hand off on a reverse
and somehow it fumbled. He picked it up and ran to the opposite side
and down the side line for a touch down.

Shannon volunteered to get t-shirts, hats, hoodies ordered for both
teams. That's been a fun task. She was talking to each parent during
both games yesterday so she didn't see much football.

Well, I promised not to talk about so much football next time, but it's
fun. We watched the tail end of David Clegg's game. He plays like his
dad did---no fear.

Spencer has cleaned out his closet and is anxious for BYU. We went on
our last home teaching assignment today. It was a little touching ,just
like the last time I went with Brandon. Spencer gave a great lesson.
One of our home teaching families lost their son to motorcycle accident
in June so the lesson was very applicable.
This is turning into an epistle so I apologize. Next time I'll keep it
brief;-)
