A three flat week! One slow leak; hit something riding after dark on Thursday and then yesterday, coming down Provo Canyon highway, I pulled over to restart my iPod and the front tire just blew out in the dirt. Fortunately, every time I had the spare parts to get it going and didn't have to walk home! With the last one, I used a trick Willy told me about which was to wrap a dollar bill around the tube so that it didn't bulge out of the hole in the tire. Worked pretty good!!! I also was riding my bike chain and with my powerful legs, started to pump up a hill and busted the chain. Pretty interesting trying to get home without a chain....and it was pretty worn so I'm not that strong.
It's been a good week as far as food and family goes! Don rode back from Idaho with me which made the drive go much faster than normal. He was here on Monday and Tuesday working on a Monsanto project. We went to Tucanos for a meat fest on Monday and ate too much!!! Then, Tuesday there was a bad accident so Frank came this way as the Freeway north was closed all night. We went to Fudruckers and had gormet hamburgers then stopped by and visited the Hunters and picked up the new carpet cleaner. Then, I came back from the temple yesterday to find Dan and Jill in front of the house so we went to Marcaroni Grill for shrimp pasta. With the leftovers I had a great meal on Sunday. Anyway, it wasn't just the food but great to spend time with Family! All the Littlefields stopped by tonight for a few minutes. I love summer with the breezes from the canyon and the gentle weather. Tonight, the crescent moon was in the west, just above a spectacular sunset with billowy clouds.
Work has been....work. I started marking a score each day as to whether I like it, want to change jobs or am neutral. This week was two positives, two negatives and a neutral. Very interesting organizational dynamics. I see we are making progress but am concerned that it's not near enough progress to stay in the game competitively. Will be interesting to see what happens. I've been helping a friend of mine that was doing real estate (he went to Costa Rica with me) as he wants to promote live Rock Concerts using our technology. I also got a Roku box...it uses our competition and I wanted to compare. Pretty cool in that I can pick from 10,000 movies (most of them are junk right now) and they will instantly show on my big screen TV. We need to get Move technology on that box!
Well that's about it. Looking forward to getting tomatoes and cucumbers out of my garden soon.
Love,
Peter
