Shannon/Steven 101008

Hi Everyone!
What a week. Tuesday morning I got a call that this guy who we sell
to at Flying J had passed away of a heart attack! I just had lunch
with him last week. He was 47. I went to his funeral yesterday in
Tremonton (Garland) and it was wonderful to see what a full,
righteous life he lived. (even though he could be a tough negotiator
when we sold him product). Wednesday I drove up to Pocatello and met
with my friends at AMI. I haven't been there in a year because they
were bought by a company in Phoenix. Then my boss told me to start
visiting them again. Dan was gracious enough to let me borrow his
truck so when I came back through Grace we could get some taters.
Kent met me at the welfare farm and we loaded in 35 sacks. it was
good to see him. Then i spent 2 hours talking to mom and dad,
stopped by Ben's for yummy desert and then came home. Thursday,
Lauren (Brett and Jonell) got married and Friday night we went down
to the reception. It was very nice in their back yard but cold.
They had space heaters and tents for visitors to get warm. Just
before that we went and watched Spencer play flag football. It
brought back tons of memories playing on those fields with Jeff Dyer,
Doug Kenley, Alan and Jeff Clegg, etc. I took a picture of Lavell
Edwards stadium just before it got dark while we were watching.
Anyway, as I've watched Spencer get older his walk and run reminded
of someone familiar. It's bothered until last Friday and then it
came to me: Ben. Spencer "saunters" and runs just like Ben!!! Way
cool! Spencer invited Tyler and Jordan to go stay at the dorms
Friday night after they went and saw Kung Fu Panda together. What a
great brother. Saturday we went to the game and BYU won 21-3. It
was a pretty tough game to watch. I shot some pictures from the
stadium. Tyler, Allyse, and Jordan sat in the end-zone tickets while
Shannon and I sat together. Well, we woke up to 3 inches of snow
and I need to go retrieve Tyler and Jordan from the Green's yard.
They got their snowboards out and build a jump, uggh. Sundays are
tough with little boys, right mom and dad?
