Steven/Shannon 102608

Hi Everyone!
The past couple of weeks have been travel weeks. i spent 2 days in
LA at my quarterly business reviews. The Sun office is in El Segundo
just 3-4 miles south of LA international airport. The weather was
very warm and beautiful although we didn't get outside much. Last
weekend I volunteered at the new Deseret Industries while Shannon
took the boys and Allyse to Idaho. Boo hoo. I really wanted to go
but didn't feel good about leaving without someone to take my place.
Anyway, I was on the unloading area and we were running between 2
lanes, 4-5 cars unloading at a time. By the time my 4 hour shift was
done I was ready for a scooter ride. So I took off for Mountain
green on my new 150cc scooter. At first, i just wanted to see if we
(my scooter and me) could make it to Mtn Green. Then we headed up
over trappers point and down to Pine View. Then I decided to go
around the west side of the lake and over to Eden. What the heck,
why not go to Wolf Creek golf course next to Uncle Phillips. By that
time it was getting dark and the temperature was dropping. I bought
this new helmet with a tinted visor. Whoa, at night you can't see
very well so I had to raise the visor just enough to see the road.
But it whistled like crazy from wind. After some hot chocolate to
warm my tummy I headed down Ogden canyon. As soon as we hit Harrison
blvd the temperature jumped about 10 degrees. After that I cruised
down past McKay Dee hospital and on home. When I got there Spencer
was home from school.
This past week I made a quick trip to Spokane/Moscow/Couer D'Alene. I
tried to call Kendrick's cell but it kept giving me some ladies voice
mail. I was in a hurry to get back for a presentation with Coldwater
Creek so didn't have much time to stop. I took some pictures below
of scenery. Friday night, Jordan and I went with 11 year old scouts
to Crystal Hot springs for a camp out. The water was very hot and we
went down the tube slides which had ice water running in them! I
swear there was ice chunks floating in the pool at the bottom. But
it made the hot pots feel that much better. We got up early and went
to BYU game where we met Shannon and Tyler. it seems like the older
our kids get the more directions everyone goes on weekends. We're
just happy to give em a hug as they rush to and fro. Last night we
stayed at Westgate. It's our week and we're sorry to not be at
Paula's birthday! At least Allyse could represent us. She's a
button. Well, I came down from Westgate to the house this afternoon
and Spencer was just leaving. He was home for his friend's mission
farewell. They're leaving in droves on missions and it's so good to
see the caliber of kids he hangs with. That's all everyone!
