me with my birthday cake sunday night
me and my companion in the town square
me on my way to get the low down about the football game this morning...in my christmas sweater:)
i had a good birthday...i have told myself that i think my birthdays here on the mission have been more celebrated than at home:) i hold no grudges though:) i would much rather take a birthday at home than out here. i did eat a nasty chocolate pie cake thing that had 21 made out of the candles...(picture...oh and that face is me making my wish...i actually wished that somehow larsen would have won his game..and that i just didnt understand the member that told me the outcome...cool wish huh?) it was fun though as we had four elders all there to celebrate my b day!
well well well! i have done my best to keep my thoughts on the missionary work this last week...it was rough but i did it. it didnt get bad until friday night right before i went to bed! it was the exact same way with anna and steves wedding....its a killer to have such a big event take place and all i get to do is sleep through it!....ahhhhhhhhhhhh- i found out saturday morning from a member that is my age that larsen lost his football game...so i got it off my chest early saturday morning so that i didnt have to stay in suspense for the weekend:) i actually told him to watch the game and look out for number 6 because he was going to dominate. the next morning he said that he started to watch the game at midnight but 5 minutes into it he decided that it was a rediculous game how they all lined up in two lines then one person would run thruogh the two lines then jump up in the air and bang into the next one:) i dont know if he realized that was just he introducing of the starters:) funny hungarians...all they know is soccer:) but its over now...i was really looking foreward to the news that larsen won but when i heard the score it gave me a lot of comfort to know that they did their best! it always feels better to win...but thats what next year is for:)
so this last week there wasnt much that happened...the 1st coucilor got back from his trip but he will be gone again this next week. the branch president didnt show up due to the bad weather so we made it through with out him with me conducting and then me and the 1st councilor translating for the older missionary couple that came down on sunday.( i just got a call from liliquist wishing me happy birthday and asking if i watched the game...he is already talking about next year and how good declo is going to be...he thinks that he is going to be coming over here to sopron due to something that president said in his email...we will see:))
i am really excited for this next week...we get all kinds of transfer excitement and thanksgiving and the works. i cant say that i am going to cook the turkey down on the beach but the plan is to get a big fat 10 kilo turkey and eat until we see turkeys. i hope it will be fun and that we can make the most of our american tradition.
please tell my dear granparents that i love them and that they have always showed the best example to me. i do love them!
ok family! i love you and i need to go! im hungry!
be good!
love me
