Happy Birthday to Us

Happy Birthday to Us! Happy Birthday to Us! Happy Birthday to Us!  Well this is our big birthday week for the Hunter Family.  Alyssa, Kayla, and I all had birthday's in a five day range.  We have been on one big party since Halloween.  For Alyssa we did the traditional birthday breakfast, (her choice) french toast, and Top Ramen for dinner, with five friends.  I made her a girl Lego cake with mint and chip ice cream.  Poor Kayla didn't get much of any thing from the family other than a quick cold cereal breakfast. Part of the the poor enthusiasm came from an all out, time consuming, search for the one and only last key to the car. I turned the whole house upside down looking for it but to no avail. She caught a ride to school and was out the door to a very busy day, state play-offs for football and her first date. (Sadies (girls choice) dance.   Cami also caught a ride to clinicals (6am to 2 pm) at a rest home and then came home to get ready for her Sadies date.  She carpooled with other members of her group and I guess it all worked out well enough.  Uncle Pete stepped in as the resident photographer for Kayla's group and took some great shots of the kids. Maybe someone will post them.  I waited up for the girls and it was fun to see their enthusiasm.  Saturday we had the car towed to the dealership to get new keys made.  So we have been without a car for two days but we have managed.  Last night Andrew slept from 5-11pm and then decided he was up for the rest of the night.  I slept on and off through the night but he pretty much stayed awake all night long and didn't nap today.  He just killed over about 20 minutes ago (7:00 pm).  I hope we both sleep well tonight. I just keep taking big deep breaths trying to enjoy all the good as well as the challenges.  Oh, Michael called to tell me he had accepted a 6 month contract job offer from Sun Power in San Jose.  They do solar panels and we thought this would be a good time to get into this industry.  He will be programming for them in Flex. He starts on the 20th of Nov.  We are very grateful to Aunt Eloise and Michael in L.A. for their enduring hospitality and being so good to Michael these last 11 months.  I am very grateful for family and hope to be able to return the favor some time. Don't forget Mom and Dad's 55th? anniversary this Wednesday the 12th.   I forgot to mention the election frenzy of the week.  Interesting time we live in.  I and was happy to hear that proposition 8 passed!
