Trick or Treat
It was a great week with lots going on. I spent most of the week deliberating about trying a new gardening technique. It required me to dig up our garden which was currently in box garden form and then till it all under. I kept one of the boxes for a sand box for Andrew so he can play while we garden. Then I went and asked all my neighbors for their leaves which I mulched with my mower. The neighbors where very happy to let me take their leaves. One house we had to sweep and rake so we developed a system with Paisley and Alyssa raking and me scooping them into the green can. Andrew's job was to jump up and down on the leaves and mashed them smaller. He absolutely loved it. The first time I dropped him in the can he went in clear over his head. I felt a slight sense of panic thinking he couldn't breathe but he was fine. Some of the little neighbor kids volunteered to help and so we had quite the time. The fall leaves are so gorgeous this year. Paisley said to tell you she fell off her bike and got a pretty bad bump. It was a freak thing with the fender falling down around the tire and stopping the tire soo abruptly it threw her backwards onto the sidewalk. She did not have her helmet on. (It will be interesting to see if she wears it from now on) Luckily several people were right there to help her and one lady brought her home. It happened to be the Hoopes daughter (former mission President in San Jose) who lives here in Edgemont. Paisley stayed home one day and then was back to normal no lasting effects. Cami and Kayla left early Thursday morning for a band competition in Las Vegas. I was up Wed. night running around getting horn sweats for the section to wear and other miscellaneous details, but all went well. Michael flew and met them in Vegas on Saturday and I haven't heard back for the final details of the trip. The girls return tonight. We hope all is well with our families. We love you!!!!! Oh, yes Halloween. We went trick or treating at the ward trunk or treat and then to Pete's to hand out candy and visit with him, and skype with mom and dad. All went well.
