Peter's Week

Work this week was.... it just was. It's kind of like the twilight zone with people coming and going and not knowing for sure who is laid off and who isn't.  The CEO has been very funny about not publishing a list.  I think he's in denial about having layoffs.  First he said there weren't any and then left someone else to do the actually layoffs while he went to compete for the national Entrepreneur of the Year award! Then assumes that everyone should be greatful to him that they have a job.  Oh well, you don't know what happened to him when he was a child....

My new boss is running around with his hair on fire with all that needs to be done.  Unfortunately, I can't help him much until he can find time to talk to me so I've just been keeping fingers in the dike and trying to be proactive on a few issues.  He said he couldn't meet with me until week after next so I'm taking vacation this week (Thanksgiving).  Spent an absolutely gorgeous day on Saturday working around the house outside..trimming all the shrubbery and raking leaves.  Very theraputic.  A highlight of the week was going to see Joe as Fredrick in the Sound of Music.  It was a very good production and it's been a long time since I saw it.  Remember all those songs we used to sing as the Clegg Family Singers? Joe played his part VERY WELL... he was very at ease on stage, has a great voice and had a good time with his character.

Looking forward to seeing many of you this week sometime.  I've spent most of today organizing pictures, journals and weekend updates from three different hard drives.  Was pleasantly surprised to find that we've been doing this (Weekend Update) since OCTOBER OF 2005! Way to go all of you! It would be great to have kept a journal when all of us older people were kids so keep it up!

Love,
Peter
