What a great Thanksgiving! We all met the Francis' at Golden Corral in
Orem and pigged out to a smörgåsbord of food offerings. Ham, steak,
turkey, 6 kinds of potatoes, dessert, salad and lot's of drinks. It was
great to finish up, leave a tip and then walk out without any cleanup.
I highly recommend it once in awhile. Then we went over to Brett and
Jonell's for a short service activity (sanding blocks) while Spencer and
his Grandmother Francis played a piano duet. In other news, Dan and I
took the boat back to Ben's and secretly parked it in his back yard
without telling him. Although I did leave a message on his cell phone
while we were unhooking it. Friday night Spencer got a date with Kelsey
Campbell and we went out to dinner. That's about the 4th or 5th time
we've double dated with Spencer. He doesn't seem to be too embarrassed
by his parents and of course, we pay for the dinner so he has to listen
our stories. Today was fun to have Spencer back home for dinner. Wish
Brandon and Ashley were closer so we could eat dinner with them too.
Anyway, I took a picture because the kids were all up to the counter. I
reminded me when they were all little. The dinner table is covered in
stuff to put away in order to make way for Christmas decorations.
Shannon and Allyse are upstairs putting up Christmas. I finally got
tired of being an office nomad with my laptop; moving from one location
to other around the house as people come and go. So I took over the toy
room. It's great to close the door and get work done. Also, I can
leave my laptop open and not worry about an errant football knocking it
off the table! It's great.
